Sitland reconverts production and donate 12,000 masks to the local municipalities
In the front line to deal with the current emergency, MIG with Sitland, in the face of the worsening health emergency, has started a conversion process for the production of protective masks. With the necessary extension of the social distancing measures, this instrument of individual protection will inevitably become an essential accessory of our outfits and its demand will continue to grow significantly in the coming months.
This is why Sitland joins the chorus of other Italian companies in the field, equipping all the employees of the MIG Group, its territory and Italy with what is necessary to overcome the crisis, and it does so by creating a top quality product entirely Made in Italy thanks to the cohesion between local companies of excellence to build a shared vision of development starting from our genius loci. But that's not all. The company has also distinguished itself for the donation of 12,000 masks to the municipalities of the territory.
At the meeting, welcomed by Gianmaria Mezzalira, President & CEO of Gruppo MIG and Davide Fiorese, Managing Director of Sitland, the local and regional institutions analyzed proposals and criticalities of local entrepreneurship to overcome the state of crisis. They also were able to view the entire production line of these devices made with a fabric produced in the province of Vicenza and characterized by very high technical performance: in addition to receiving the important international OEKO-TEX® certification, the fabric was tested for air filterability and liquid impermeability.
"The aim of this project is to bring real help to the local population, and not only, which we first thought of when we decided to start this project. Many of the families in the neighbouring municipalities are in fact linked to our employees, and we felt it was right to take concrete action to give a tangible sign of a new start. Our company is an excellence of Italian manufacturing and now more than ever it is important to support local companies to restart our country" says Gianmaria Mezzalira.
Sitland washable masks can be reused for up to 30 washes and are made for both adults and children and are produced in five different colours.
